Graduate Council

The Graduate Council, as outlined in the Rules and Regulations of the Graduate Faculty, serves as a smaller, representative body reflecting the views of the Graduate Faculty. It provides the President with a means to assess faculty opinions on policies and procedures between formal meetings, acts as a forum for developing changes to graduate policies, and recommends action items to the Graduate Faculty. The Council is responsible for preparing and presenting necessary information for the Graduate Faculty's informed consideration of matters requiring action.

The Council consists of the President of the Graduate Faculty (Chair) and one representative from each graduate degree-granting program and any department offering graduate-level courses (5000+ level) not already represented.

Graduate Council Meetings

Regular meetings of the Graduate Council are held on the first Wednesday of each full month during the regular semesters.
